Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and assisting with food preparation and cleanliness.

Duties

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Support the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and organization
• Help with dishwashing and sanitation procedures to ensure a hygienic environment
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
• Support the culinary team during meal service by providing necessary assistance as directed

Skills

• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in maintaining hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
• Basic knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus but not required; training will be provided
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen setting
