CHD Living is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our chef and residents at our care home in Haslemere. Established in 1984, we are a family-owned, award-winning group providing care services across Surrey and South London.

About the Role:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be the chef’s right hand, helping to maintain a smooth, efficient, and hygienic kitchen. You’ll assist with food preparation, washing up, setting tables, and serving meals and beverages – ensuring our residents enjoy delicious meals in a clean and safe environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist the chef with food preparation as directed.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Act 1990 and Health & Safety regulations.
• Support serving meals and beverages to residents.
• Washing up and maintaining a tidy kitchen environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• A reliable, happy, and caring attitude.
• Interest in food and working in a kitchen environment.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment is essential. A good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling is desirable, with full training provided.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Right to work in the UK.
