Kitchen Assistant (Senoko) (Fixed Day Shift)

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic food items including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting of raw ingredients.
• Portion and pack cooked food and pack meals according to standards.
• Assist with preparation and packing of tea break items and beverages.
• Conduct pre-cooking checks, prepare raw materials for upcoming meals, and ensure proper labelling and FIFO storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and surrounding areas, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Handle kitchen equipment properly and adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene SOPs.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset by being open to learning, improving work processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Packing chilled food into bento boxes for normal and therapeutic meals, ensuring correct portioning and topping up according to specified quantities.
• Sealing and labelling therapeutic meals, as well as placing and counting the bento boxes accurately in designated baskets.

Requirements

• Willing to learn, hardworking, responsible, and disciplined with a growth mindset
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to perform physical tasks to carry loads of at least 10 kg and able to stand for long hours (up to 8 hours)
• Must possess a valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1.

• Working hours: 6 days per week (including weekends and public holidays), 7am - 3pm
