Pay: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role
Sushinoya is looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant / Sushi Chef to join our team. This role is perfect for someone interested in Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation, with an opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing sushi ingredients such as rice, vegetables, and seafood
• Help prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, and other menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and preparation areas
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained
• Support the sushi chefs and kitchen team during busy service periods
• Assist with stock storage and kitchen organisation

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or sushi preparation experience preferred but not essential
• Interest in Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
