Kitchen Assistant – Join Our Team!

Location: Fuku Food Freight Island, Newcastle
Pay: min wage–£13.50 per hour, depending on experience

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at a busy food hall in Freight Island, Newcastle.

If you enjoy working with food, like being part of a team and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing ingredients and food
• Helping with cooking and kitchen service
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised
• Serving customers and providing great service
• Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team
• Following food hygiene and allergen procedures

What we’re looking for

You must have:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Up-to-date Allergen Awareness Certificate
• A positive and hardworking attitude
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• The ability to work calmly in a busy environment

Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus, but we’re also happy to consider someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn and develop.
