Kitchen Assistant/Cook

Overview

We are looking for a reliable, proactive Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You will work directly alongside our current kitchen staff in a traditional pub environment. The pace here varies - you need to be able to handle a sudden rush when it gets busy, use your initiative during quiet periods and take real pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Food Prep & Plating: Assisting with general food preparation, heating and plating meals to a consistently good standard.
• Sunday Carvery Support: Standing at the forefront of our Sunday carvery to carve meats and interact warmly with customers.
• Kitchen Support: Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly.

Working Hours & Shifts (No late finishes)

Your weekly roster will total 25-30 hours per week, spread across a minimum of 4 days. Your hours will be made up of a mix of straightforward, lunchtime, evening or weekend shifts.

What we are needing from you:

• Experience: Previous experience working in a pub kitchen preferred.
• Attitude: A high level of initiative, attention to detail and a confident personality for the customer-facing carvery shifts.
• Flexibility: While your core rota will be consistent, we need someone who is flexible enough to cover staff holidays, sickness or occasional event nights.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
