Kitchen Assistant/Cook

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team.

As a Kitchen Assistant you responsibilities will be:

1. To assist the Cook with the preparation and cooking of a variety of meals.

2. To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, ensuring a safe environment within the home.

3. Implement, cleaning schedules that meet the requirements of the Food safety Manual, and ensure that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean. This will include washing up of pots, pans and dishes when required.

4. To be understanding towards residents and their needs and attend resident/relative meetings.

5. To ensure that the Kitchen if left is an clean and regulatory state before leaving your shift and making sure that the Kitchen is always abiding by Health and safety regulations.

6. To undertake daily tasks and priorities given by the Chef/Cook on shift

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in our kitchen. Your main duties will include:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications

• Ensuring that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner

• Monitoring food quality and presentation

• Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies

• Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

• Adhering to food safety standards and regulations

• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: £12.92-£13.80 per hour
