We are a craft beer pub and are passionate about providing locally sourced, freshly prepared food. We have a small team who maintain high standards throughout all areas of the kitchen. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, and work alongside a fabulous team. Whether you’re just starting out or bringing seasoned kitchen experience, we are open to hearing from you.

Duties

• Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes with precision and care
• Cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
• Support meal preparation processes during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination or spoilage
• Serve prepared meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards when interacting with diners or staff
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; notify supervisors when stock needs replenishing

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations; restaurant or culinary experience is highly valued
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and learning
• Core working hours 10-3 wednesday-saturday, though flexibility to work some evenings 6-9 would be appreciated.
• Basic understanding of meal presentation and serving techniques
• Enthusiasm for current food trends and flavour combinations

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
