KITCHEN ASSISTANTS

Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, ingredient handling, and general kitchen duties. The ideal candidate must be organized, willing to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety.

Job Description

• Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
• Wash, clean, and prepare vegetables, meat, fish, and other food items as directed.
• Support the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and arranging cooking stations before service.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and other equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, storage areas, and food preparation stations.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food supplies appropriately.
• Ensure ingredients and food items are properly labelled and stored according to food safety guidelines.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Replenish kitchen supplies and report shortages to the chef or supervisor.
• Assist with portioning, plating, and serving meals when required.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle kitchen equipment carefully and report damaged or faulty equipment.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and special events.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay: ₦70,000.00 per month
