Kitchen attendant

Job Summary

As a Kitchen Attendant, you’ll keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and ready for service. You’ll support food preparation, dishwashing, bussing, and daily kitchen operations while following food safety and sanitation procedures. Your impact: By maintaining clean work areas and handling food safely, you help kitchen teams serve guests with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with food service using safe food handling practices and appropriate knife skills.
• Wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and sanitize food-contact surfaces according to food safety procedures.
• Bus tables and help keep dining and service areas orderly during busy periods.
• Move supplies and equipment using safe manual handling practices, including when heavy lifting is required.
• Follow kitchen health and safety standards and report hazards or sanitation concerns promptly.

Experience

• Food service, hospitality, restaurant, or kitchen experience is helpful; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, bussing, and operating kitchen equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, food safety management, sanitation, and sanitizing procedures is an asset.
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and safely handle the physical demands of kitchen work.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
