Kitchen chef /helper

This is a hands-on kitchen position preparing Japanese-style restaurant food. Japanese restaurant experience is NOT required. We are willing to train the right person.

Experience We’re Looking For

Restaurant kitchen experience is preferred.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

● Deep fryer / fried foods

● Wok cooking or fried rice

● Grill or flat-top cooking

● Food preparation

● Basic knife skills

● Working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen

You do not need previous Japanese restaurant experience. If you have worked as a line cook, prep cook, kitchen cook, or in another busy restaurant kitchen and are willing to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities

● Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes

● Work with fryers, wok/range, and other kitchen equipment

● Prepare fried rice, appetizers, meats, vegetables, and other kitchen dishes

● Complete daily food prep

● Keep your work area clean and organized

● Follow food safety and sanitation procedures

● Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner periods

● Help with general kitchen duties as needed

Schedule Requirements

Applicants must be able to work a regular and dependable schedule.

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

This position may require working up to 6 days per week, depending on the schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
