Kitchen Cleaner / Dishwasher

Sierra Vista Winery is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Kitchen Cleaner / Dishwasher to help maintain our busy winery kitchen.

Our kitchen serves freshly prepared pizzas, pasta, Sunday brunch, and other food offerings. We are looking for someone who takes pride in cleanliness and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary professional kitchen.

This position is dedicated to dishwashing, cleaning, sanitation, and kitchen organization, allowing our chef to concentrate on food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly put away dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, workstations, and food preparation surfaces.
• Clean kitchen equipment, including grease buildup and hard-to-reach areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and mop kitchen floors.
• Clean and organize food storage areas, shelving, and refrigeration surfaces.
• Empty trash, replace liners, and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation throughout scheduled shifts.
• Complete assigned deep-cleaning projects, with additional emphasis on Sundays.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain cleaning checklists and report any sanitation or maintenance concerns.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently on assigned tasks while working alongside kitchen staff.
• Comfortable with physical cleaning duties, including standing, bending, scrubbing, and lifting.
• Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Must be available Thursday through Sunday.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a part-time position offering approximately 12–16 hours per week, with shifts averaging 3–4 hours per day.

All cleaning duties, including deep cleaning, will be performed during scheduled kitchen operating hours while the chef is on duty. Sunday shifts will place additional emphasis on thorough kitchen cleaning and sanitation.

Pay: $16.90–$17.50 per hour, depending on experience.
