About the role

Greenstreat is hiring experienced Back of House team members to join our Central Kitchen in Fitzroy, where we prepare fresh food for our venues. You'll be part of a team that values energy, creativity and growth, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment supporting food preparation and production.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with prep and production, including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables, and portioning proteins to recipe standards and daily production orders
• Label, date and store prepared products correctly, and follow temperature and food safety procedures
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary by cleaning workstations, equipment and utensils, including dishwashing
• Help unload deliveries, rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method, and organise cold storage and dry stores
• Help pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch to our venues
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling, and empty and sanitise bins regularly to keep the kitchen pest-free
• Carry out opening and closing duties, including deep-cleaning floors, degreasing surfaces and setting up stations for the next shift

About you

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food production environment
• Positive, upbeat and hardworking team player
• Able to stay calm under pressure and work at a steady pace
• Strong communication, great personal presentation and attention to detail
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Comfortable with physical work, including lifting
• Availability for early mornings, weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required
• Appropriate working rights to work in Australia
