SAKANA Japanese Restaurant is looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Cook to join our team!

No fryer experience required – we provide full training!

We are looking for someone who has a basic understanding of restaurant kitchen operations and is willing to learn.

You don't need to know how to cook Japanese food. We will teach you our recipes, frying techniques, and kitchen procedures step by step.

Responsibilities

• Learn to prepare Japanese appetizers and fried dishes.

• Operate commercial fryers after proper training.

• Follow recipes, cooking procedures, and food safety standards.

• Assist with daily food preparation and stocking.

• Keep your workstation clean, organized, and ready for service.

• Work efficiently during busy restaurant hours.

• Communicate and cooperate with kitchen team members.

• Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties.

Requirements

• Basic restaurant kitchen knowledge required.

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred.

• No previous fryer or Japanese cooking experience necessary.

• Basic understanding of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organization.

• Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.

• Reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Weekend availability preferred.
