  • Store, label and rotate food correctly in line with food safety standards.
  • Complete all required kitchen documentation, including daily, weekly and monthly records.
  • Order food supplies, monitor stock levels and report shortages or out-of-date items.
  • Work effectively as part of the care home team to ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
  • Complete all mandatory online training and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC, NCC and all relevant food safety legislation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Cook within a residential care home or similar care setting (essential).
  • A valid Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (essential).
  • A good understanding of food hygiene, food safety and infection control procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills with a positive, caring and professional attitude.
  • Must have the flexibility to work at short notice to cover sickness and annual leave.

What We Offer

  • Competitive rate of pay.
  • A supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • A rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the lives of our residents.

If you are a dedicated and flexible Cook who takes pride in preparing quality meals and enjoys working in a caring environment, we would love to hear from you.
