What they need
- Assist with daily food preparation, cooking and plating according to recipes and established standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation and portioning.
- Carry out mise en place and ensure the kitchen is properly prepared before each service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, kitchen equipment and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Monitor ingredient levels and inform the kitchen lead when replenishment is required.
- Minimise food wastage and practise proper portion control.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and kitchen setup.
- Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Support stock counts, deliveries and general kitchen operations when required.
- Perform other operational duties reasonably assigned by the Head Chef or management.
