Kitchen Crew Leader

Kitchen Crew Leader (CDP level) – MOXY Aberdeen Airport This position is based on a full time contract.

Gross Salary: £30358 per year

We are looking for someone to work in our kitchen operation at Moxy Aberdeen Airport. We are a busy hotel where guests are looking for quick but nutritious meals

You don’t need to be a chef but you do need to have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressure

Experience of Merry chefs would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given

Main Tasks & responsibilities

• Prepare food using Merry chefs
• Present food in line with brand standards
• Preparation, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food
• Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organize BOH areas
• Cleanliness of the kitchen area
• Full ownership of FIFO system (first in first out) of food items
• Follow all food safety policies to work safely
• Food handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures etc.)
• A positive attitude and ability to create a buzz in the kitchen

We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things:

• Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
• Passionate about food
• Skilled multi tasker who can balance hard work with great service and thinking ahead
• Clear communicator, fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

Useful Experience

• Experience within the service industry
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
• Personal experience of travel and travel industry
