About Us

Hinge Cabinets & Millwork distinguishes itself as a premier cabinet manufacturer, proudly based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Our commitment to excellence is evident in our cabinets, which are meticulously produced in-house using innovative manufacturing methods developed through continuous research and development. These methods are designed to precisely align with our clients’ needs, budgetary considerations, and project timelines.

As we embark on an exciting phase of expansion, we’re actively seeking dedicated professionals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional results. We are looking for individuals who are not only highly skilled but also passionate about kitchen design and dedicated to assisting customers in realizing their dream spaces. At Hinge Cabinets & Millwork, we prioritize providing a rewarding work environment, understanding that our team’s success is essential to delivering the highest-quality products to our valued customers.

MINDSET

  • Ownership: Takes initiative, follows through on responsibilities, and ensures things get done without needing reminders. When something goes off track, takes ownership and finds a solution.
  • Communication: Communicates clearly, professionally, and respectfully with staff, vendors, and visitors. Comfortable asking questions, seeking clarification, and keeping others informed.
  • Adaptability: No two days are exactly the same. Shifts priorities, adjusts to changing needs, and stays organized and positive when plans change.
  • Attention to Detail: Understands that the small things matter. Whether it is filing, scheduling, ordering, or preparing information, works carefully and catches details before they become problems.
  • Teamwork: Understands that keeping an office running smoothly is a team effort. Willing to step in, support colleagues, and help wherever needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher — preference will be given to candidates with interior design education
  • Minimum 2 years of kitchen design experience required
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Able to switch priorities and multitask based on shifting work requirements
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to analyze issues and make modifications as required by the customer
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record — must have reliable personal transportation
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English and be eligible to work in Canada

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the design team to create tailored kitchen designs for our customers that reflect their vision, budget, and functional requirements.
  • Effectively communicate and present designs to prospective clients — coordinate and manage design changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Execute on-site measurements to ensure all designs are accurate based on actual site conditions — discrepancies between plans and site must be identified and resolved before engineering begins.
  • Compile all relevant project information and documentation so that cabinet engineers can finalize the product accurately and without delays. This includes complete design packages, site notes, hardware selections, and any client-specific requirements.
  • Create detailed elevations and hardware lists for every project — ensuring all specifications are clearly documented and production-ready.
  • Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid meal break). Extended hours in evenings and/or weekends are available for those who choose to take them on.
