Job Summary

Join our team and be a part of Idaho’s largest pickleball club, The Flying Pickle! The Kitchen employee is responsible for providing high-quality food, serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service for all guests. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Working nights and weekends is required.

**Must be at least 19 years old**

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and team members.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, fun, energetic and professional manner.
• Maintain food quality, freshness and portion control.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and health department regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up, stock and break down prep stations.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/dining area.
• Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Assist with catering and private event food preparation when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Previous restaurant, food service or kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time efficiently.
• A welcoming personality with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to handle customer concerns calmly and effectively.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 40 lbs and walk up and down stairs.
