Kitchen Hand

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while supporting the kitchen staff with basic food preparation and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher safely and properly.
• Keep the dishwashing area, kitchen, storage areas, and floors clean and organized.
• Empty garbage, recycling, and food waste bins as required.
• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Help receive, organize, and store food and supply deliveries.
• Restock dishes, utensils, kitchen supplies, and ingredients.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Support cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
• Complete opening and closing cleaning duties.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
