JUNIOR KITCHEN HAND / FOOD INDUSTRY TRAINEE

Sandwich Chefs – Orion Springfield Central

• Junior position – ideally suitable for someone aged 16 or under
• Great opportunity for a young person interested in building a career in the food and hospitality industry
• RELIABILITY & AVAILABILITY ARE ESSENTIAL
• MUST be available regularly between 8:00am and 2:00pm
• Available almost any day of the week, including weekdays and weekends
• Approximately 3–4 hours per shift
• Please do not apply if you cannot commit to regular availability between 8am and 2pm
• Assist chefs and senior team members with basic kitchen and food preparation duties
• Washing dishes, cleaning, organising and keeping the kitchen and work areas tidy
• Restocking, packing, preparing ingredients and other general shop duties
• Assist with preparing the shop for busy trading periods
• Help our senior team so they can concentrate on customer service, selling and cooking
• Learn valuable skills in food preparation, food safety, hospitality and customer service
• Career advancement opportunity for someone who is hardworking and genuinely interested in the food industry
• Looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, energetic, hardworking and willing to learn
• Previous hospitality experience is not essential — attitude, reliability and commitment are most important
• Location: Orion Springfield Central
• Pay and conditions in accordance with applicable junior employment rates and Queensland requirements

Pay: $16.00 – $25.00 per hour
