At Green Leaves Early Learning, we take pride in creating a learning environment that inspires children to explore taste and flavour. Working closely with the Centre Chef, each day you can:

• Use your extraordinary culinary skills to support the Centre Chef in preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, as well as working to dietary requirements for babies and children

• Greet our wonderful families with a big, warm, friendly smile each day, and wow them with your barista-made coffees and freshly baked treats (barista training provided if required)

• Provide thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Centre Chef and Educators

• Ensure the highest level of food safety by maintaining a clean and safe kitchen in accordance with the Food and Council Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards

• Combine your amazing time management and communication skills to support the kitchen in running each day smoothly.

About You:

• Current Food Safety Certificate
• Prior experience in a high-risk commercial kitchen (Hospital, Childcare or Aged Care Setting)
• Current and State-relevant Working with Children's Check
• Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
• Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012)
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months
• Availability to work up to 30 hours per week and between the hours of 8 am and 2 pm
• The ability to step up into the Chef’s role when they are absent from the Centre, which will change your hours to 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
