Kitchen Helper

The Kitchen Helper assists the kitchen team with basic food preparation, cleanliness, and daily kitchen operations while ensuring that proper food safety and sanitation standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, cutting, peeling, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
• Support the kitchen team with mise en place and daily food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist in receiving, storing, labeling, and organizing ingredients and supplies.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Help minimize food waste and properly dispose of kitchen waste.
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods, events, and special operations.
• Follow company policies and kitchen procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality education is an advantage.
• Previous kitchen or food and beverage experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Hardworking, reliable, organized, and willing to learn.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
