Kitchen Helper

About the role

This is a kitchen assistant position supporting food preparation, kitchen operations, and general kitchen duties under the supervision of kitchen staff and chefs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning vegetables and ingredients
• Assist with food packing, labelling, and preparation of orders
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, worktables, and preparation areas
• Wash dishes, trays, containers, and other kitchen equipment
• Maintain general cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen
• Assist with receiving, moving, and storing ingredients and supplies
• Dispose of rubbish and maintain waste areas properly
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with general kitchen duties
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs

About you

• No experience required; training can be provided
• Able to perform physical work, including standing, lifting, cleaning, and carrying items
• Responsible, hardworking, and able to follow instructions
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays based on operational requirements
