Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
• Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients according to recipes and adhering to food safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, refrigerators, and other appliances.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces through regular cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Help with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes.
• Follow dietary guidelines and menu plans accurately to support dietary department requirements.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks, report issues, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated food handling knowledge and understanding of food safety management practices.
• Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a food service or restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong cleaning skills with an emphasis on maintaining hygiene standards in a busy kitchen setting.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the culinary environment.
• Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and catering experience is advantageous.
• Must speak Punjabi and Hindi with Fluency in English
