Kitchen Helper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen helper. This role is essential in delivering exceptional food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.

Duties

• Prepare and execute menu items with speed, consistency, and care
• Support daily kitchen operations—prep ingredients, clean workstations, stock supplies, and assist cooks/servers to keep service running smoothly.
• Handle food with care, adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, assembling, presenting, and plating dishes.
• Manage food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing
• Stock kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper storage and rotation

• Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and restaurant operations
• Takes pride in quality, cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
• Works well under pressure and stays calm during busy rushes
• Brings a positive, team-first attitude and can problem-solve quickly
• Is available for evenings and weekends, with flexibility for late shifts
• Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a Thai or Asian restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
• Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and strong work ethic
• Valid Canada working permit
• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
• Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
