Kitchen Helper

Job Summary

Orsi's Italian Bakery & Pizzeria is seeking a dependable Kitchen Helper to support daily food preparation, kitchen organization, and bakery and pizzeria operations. This position is ideal for someone who works well in a busy food-service environment and is willing to assist the kitchen team with a variety of preparation, cleaning, stocking, and service-support duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with daily food preparation.
• Prepare vegetables, toppings, ingredients, sauces, and other items as directed.
• Help with pizza, deli, bakery, and other food-production tasks.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep preparation stations, storage areas, and kitchen floors clean and organized.
• Restock ingredients, packaging, and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.
• Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Help package customer orders accurately.
• Remove trash and maintain clean work areas throughout the shift.
• Support cooks and other team members during busy periods.
• Complete additional kitchen duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, bakery, pizzeria, or food-service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation is helpful.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry food supplies and kitchen materials.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and busy service periods.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
