Duties

• Assist with food preparation including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients to support cooking processes
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Support the cooking team by organizing ingredients and supplies for meal service
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices
• Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
• Maintain inventory levels by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff
• Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving supplies
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
