Kitchen Helper

Worldshine Adult Medical Day Care, located in Frederick, MD is currently seeking an Kitchen Helper to join our team. The Kitchen Helper will assist with daily meal preparation, food service, and kitchen cleaning to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment for our participants:

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, kitchen assistance, or a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Friendly, professional, and respectful attitude toward seniors and individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen operations.
• Willingness to learn and follow all workplace safety and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals and snacks to participants.
• Work closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and dining areas.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work surfaces.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food supplies and kitchen inventory.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Follow established meal service procedures, including special dietary instructions as directed.
• Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete all required training annually.
• Help serve meals to participants at their tables if needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
