Kitchen Helper

Sedona Taphouse is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations and assist the culinary team with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties. This role involves preparing ingredients, organizing supplies, maintaining sanitary workstations, and helping the kitchen team provide timely, high-quality food service. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and routine kitchen tasks.
• Wash, peel, cut, and organize ingredients as directed.
• Prepare ingredients and supplies for daily kitchen service.
• Help assemble food orders according to instructions and presentation standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked kitchen workstations.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Clean counters, sinks, floors, and other assigned kitchen areas.
• Monitor and replenish ingredients, packaging, and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food deliveries.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and proper food-storage procedures.
• Help maintain an orderly kitchen during busy service periods.
• Support opening, closing, and routine cleaning duties.
• Communicate supply needs and kitchen concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Work cooperatively with cooks, dishwashers, and other restaurant staff.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, café, or food-service experience is helpful but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn food-preparation procedures and kitchen standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform routine kitchen duties and remain organized during busy periods.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
