Kitchen Helper

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, equipment, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and portion vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients in accordance with kitchen procedures and instructions from the culinary team.
• Assist in the preparation of basic food items and simple cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment, adhering strictly to sanitation regulations.
• Store ingredients and supplies in designated areas with proper labeling, ensuring freshness, accessibility, and proper stock rotation.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with restocking supplies, and ensure timely disposal of waste in accordance with proper waste management procedures.
• Provide support to chefs and kitchen staff during peak service periods by promptly supplying ingredients, tools, and utensils as required.
• Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors accurately and maintain effective.

Job Requirements:

• SPM qualification or equivalent, and fresh graduates in any field are considered an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation practices is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• High level of attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and perform duties under supervision.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods while carrying out manual tasks.
