Kitchen Helper

Job Summary

Hard Rock Cafe is seeking a dependable and energetic Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations at its Atlanta location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant, takes pride in cleanliness, and wants to develop food preparation and kitchen support skills. The successful candidate will help prepare ingredients, organize supplies, maintain sanitation standards, and assist cooks in delivering consistent meals to guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Organize ingredients and supplies according to kitchen instructions.
• Help prepare workstations before meal service.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen tools and cookware when needed.
• Store food properly and follow labeling and stock-rotation procedures.
• Replenish ingredients and notify supervisors when supplies run low.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries.
• Support cooks and other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift routine kitchen supplies safely.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and arrange kitchen supplies before service.
• Keep workstations stocked and ready for use.
• Assist with basic food preparation and plating as directed.
• Clean kitchen surfaces and equipment throughout the shift.
• Maintain proper food storage and sanitation practices.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning tasks.
