Kitchen Helper

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team at GLORY RICH RISE LIMITED. This is a full-time position based in the Kwun Tong District. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow that enables our chefs to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our customers. Your contributions will be essential to maintaining the high standards of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen management that our establishment is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the cooking of food items according to standardised recipes and portion sizes
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Store food items correctly and ensure proper inventory management and stock rotation
• Assist chefs with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, mixing and marinating ingredients
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times to prevent contamination and ensure customer safety
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a clean working environment
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to meet customer demands efficiently
• Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management
• Assist with deliveries and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work flexible hours including peak service times
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
• Willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced chefs
