• Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

About the Position

Maria’s Gourmet is looking for reliable, hardworking, and motivated Kitchen Helpers to join our team at our Marblehead location.

We are currently hiring for two shifts: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, have a positive attitude, and are willing to assist with food preparation, cleaning, and daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation.
• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients.
• Help assemble sandwiches, salads, and other menu items.
• Assist with portioning, packaging, and labeling prepared foods.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized food preparation areas.
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and kitchen stations.
• Properly store and rotate food products following FIFO procedures.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Assist with catering preparation and packaging orders as needed.
• Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but not required.
• Availability for either the 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM shift.
