Job Overview

We are a fast-paced sushi restaurant specializing in high-quality takeout, in Rosemont area, in front of Rosemont metro station. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking team member to join our kitchen crew. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our kitchen running smoothly, ensuring food is prepared quickly and consistent with our high standards. Responsibilities

• Cook sushi rice to exact standards and maintain consistent inventory throughout the shift.
• Prepare ingredients, including chopping, portioning, and prepping food items for the line.
• Operate deep fryers to prepare tempura, appetizers, and hot food items safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring prep stations and equipment meet health and safety guidelines.
• Perform daily sanitization, station reset, wash dishes and general kitchen cleanup tasks.
• Assist team members during rush periods to ensure prompt takeout order fulfillment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling, and basic kitchen safety standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
• Experience in hotel or restaurant settings is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
