Job Summary

World Famous House of Mac is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist cooks with food preparation, maintain clean workstations, organize ingredients, and help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during busy service periods. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys working in a team, follows instructions carefully, and takes pride in maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
• Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients according to instructions.
• Prepare and organize ingredients before service begins.
• Keep kitchen counters, preparation areas, and equipment clean.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking tools as needed.
• Store ingredients properly and follow food labeling and rotation procedures.
• Restock kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when items are running low.
• Help receive, check, and organize food deliveries.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements.
• Remove kitchen waste and maintain a clean work environment.
• Support cooks during busy periods to help orders move efficiently.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general cleaning duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not always required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with kitchen staff.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
