Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that meal preparation runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the head cook or chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
• Help with food handling and storage, ensuring all items are stored at appropriate temperatures to maintain freshness and safety.
• Support catering events by preparing food items according to specified menus and assisting with setup and breakdown of service areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods, providing assistance wherever needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food handling practices and safety protocols is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, food preparation, and catering services.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform tasks that may require lifting or moving heavy items.
