Kitchen Lead

Job Overview

33's Sliced and Stirred in Washington, NC, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Lead to help guide our back-of-house team. This is a working leadership position-not a clipboard role. You'll cook alongside the team, monitor ticket times and food quality, train and support kitchen staff, help control food cost, and keep the team on track during a busy lunch or dinner service.

Duties

• Leading daily kitchen operations during service
• Preparing and executing menu items consistently
• Communicating product and staffing needs to management
• Following food safety, labeling, rotation, and sanitation standards
• Assisting with prep planning and portion control

Skills

• Proven leadership experience in fast-paced kitchen environments
• Strong background in daily kitchen operations
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable leading a team
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and cost control strategies
• Skilled in food safety, sanitizing procedures, food handling protocols, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Excellent cooking skills with a focus on quality presentation and consistency
• Takes ownership without needing constant supervision
• Remains steady and solution-focused under pressure

This role requires you to be available during normal restaurant hours, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
