Kitchen Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Lead to oversee daily operations in our bar and grill kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and managing the cook times within a small, efficient two-person kitchen crew. This role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Manage cook times effectively within a two-person kitchen crew to ensure timely service.
• Oversee food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with safety regulations.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards during food preparation and cooking processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a bar and grill setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small kitchen team effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to coordinate cook times efficiently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Passion for culinary excellence and team collaboration.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
