Kitchen Manager

Overview

A high-volume, fast-paced restaurant is seeking a strong kitchen leader to join the management team. This role is ideal for someone who can lead from the line, maintain standards under pressure, and help oversee daily restaurant operations.

This position begins with a hands-on training period and transitions into a salaried full-time leadership role once fully trained.

Compensation

• Training Phase: (30 days) $20/hour
• Full-Time Role: $22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations including prep, execution, ticket times, and quality control
• Manage inventory, ordering, food cost, and waste reduction
• Train and supervise kitchen staff
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards
• Support front-of-house operations during busy service periods
• Scheduling and labor cost management
• Ensure consistency in food quality and guest experience
• Help maintain a positive, professional team environment

Qualifications

• Strong culinary background with high-volume kitchen experience preferred
• Experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role
• Knowledge of food costing, inventory systems, and ordering
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• ServSafe or food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
