*Job Summary:*

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations in our restaurant. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of kitchen management, and the ability to maintain a high standard of food quality and safety. The Kitchen Manager will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure that our kitchen runs efficiently to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

*Key Responsibilities:*

• *Leadership Team Management:*

• Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment.

• Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and presentation.

• Schedule and manage kitchen staff shifts to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.

• *Food Quality Safety:*

• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presentation.

• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation practices.

• Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and food storage to ensure compliance.

• *Inventory Cost Control:*

• Manage inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages.

• Monitor food costs and implement strategies to control expenses while maintaining quality.

• Assist in menu planning and development, considering cost and seasonal ingredients.

• *Operational Efficiency:*

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation and service.

• Address any issues that arise in the kitchen, including service delays or staff conflicts.

• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.

*Qualifications:*

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment.

• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
