Job Overview

Monkey Bizness is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food preparation, maintaining high hygiene standards, and working in a fast-paced family entertainment environment. You will support the kitchen team in preparing fresh meals, ensuring excellent food quality, and helping provide a great experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food items in line with company recipes and standards.

Food preparation including chopping, portioning, and organising ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas.

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required.

Ensure stock is rotated correctly and report shortages to management.

Follow food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times.

Assist with receiving deliveries and storing stock correctly.

Support the wider team during busy service periods.

Help maintain a positive and efficient working environment.

Control the ordering.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous kitchen, catering, or food preparation experience is essential.

Cooking skills and understanding of food hygiene.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organised under pressure.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.

Flexible availability including weekends and school holidays.

Desirable Qualifications

Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or equivalent).

Experience working in cafés, restaurants, or leisure venues.
