NOW HIRING: KITCHEN MANAGER

Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday; must be available to work weekends when needed.

We are seeking a dependable, organized Kitchen Manager to lead dining services in our adult care home. The ideal candidate enjoys cooking, takes pride in a clean kitchen, and treats residents and coworkers with kindness and respect.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and meal preparation.
• Prepare nutritious, appealing meals following approved menus and residents’ prescribed diets.
• Ensure meals are served on time, with appropriate portions and attention to resident preferences.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, proper storage, and temperature records.
• Order food and supplies, manage inventory, and control waste.
• Train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff.
• Communicate with community leadership about residents’ dietary needs and concerns.
• Follow applicable North Carolina adult care home requirements and facility policies.
• Provide kitchen coverage on weekends when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of kitchen management or related food service experience.
• Current ServSafe certification.
• Experience in assisted living, an adult care home, or another healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and special diets.
