Kitchen Porter (7 hours)

Sheppy’s House of Cider was developed in 2017 as a visitor attraction including farm shop, cafe, restaurant and bar.

The facility is open seven days a week including Bank Holidays.

Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.

This post requires a minimum of 7 hours, on a Sunday (normally 10 am - 5.30 pm).

On occasions evening or additional weekend work may be offered to you on a casual basis to help with larger functions or events.

We are looking for:

A cheerful and enthusiastic team player

Previous experience would be ideal, but is not essential

Someone who works well under pressure

Two good work references

The post requires you to:

Keep up with washing-up in a busy kitchen

Keep the kitchen generally clean and tidy

Complete all scheduled cleaning required in your shift

Assist the Chefs with any food preparation which is within your ability

Use your initiative during quiet times to get jobs done which can not be done when busy

You will report to the Head Chef

You will receive:

A percentage share of all tips

28 days holiday (pro rata) a year including Bank Holidays

Terms of Employment:

Employer: Sheppy’s Cider Ltd

Hours: Normally starting at 10 am and finishing approximately 5.30 pm

Probation: Up to 6 months

Hourly rate of pay: Age and experience dependent, based on minimum wage

Start date: As soon as possible

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71 per hour
