Join the Opening Team at The Greyhound Cromford

The Greyhound is one of the best-known pubs in the Cromford and Matlock area and is currently undergoing a major refurbishment ahead of an exciting reopening in October 2026.

The venue combines a historic pub and restaurant with a nine-bedroom boutique hotel, and we are now building the kitchen team that will be part of this exciting new chapter.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porters to join our opening team.

The Role

Kitchen Porters are an important part of any successful kitchen, helping the chefs keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly throughout service.

Your duties will include:

• Operating the dishwasher and keeping on top of washing up
• Keeping kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas clean
• Maintaining a clean and organised pot-wash area
• Helping keep floors and kitchen areas clean and safe
• Emptying waste and recycling
• Helping with deliveries and putting stock away when required
• Supporting the chefs with basic kitchen tasks where appropriate
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Helping the kitchen team during busy services

About You

Previous kitchen experience is welcome, but it is not essential, as full training will be provided.

This could be a great opportunity if you are looking for your first job in hospitality or want to gain experience working as part of a professional kitchen team.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 45.0 per week
