About the Role

Heyday Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Kitchen Porters for a number of busy workplace and contract catering locations across Dublin.

We have opportunities for candidates looking for regular daytime work, primarily Monday to Friday, with typical shifts running from approximately 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Both full-time and part-time availability will be considered.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking people who enjoy being part of a busy kitchen team and take pride in keeping a clean, organised and efficient working environment.

Your Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, your duties may include:

• Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, pots and work areas
• Maintaining excellent standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
• Keeping food preparation and storage areas clean and organised
• Receiving and putting away deliveries
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
• Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Completing cleaning and kitchen support duties efficiently throughout your shift

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of previous Kitchen Porter experience, ideally in a busy catering environment
• Good English, with the ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively with the kitchen team
• A strong work ethic and a reliable approach to attendance and timekeeping
• The ability to work at a good pace and remain organised during busy periods
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• The physical stamina required for an active Kitchen Porter role
• Availability for weekday daytime shifts, typically around 7:00am–3:00pm
• Legal permission to work in Ireland and currently vaild

Most positions will initially be offered through Heyday Recruitment on a temporary basis, with many assignments providing regular ongoing hours. Depending on the client, performance and suitability, opportunities for permanent employment may also arise.
