Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Help maintain inventory levels by assisting with stock rotation and reporting low supplies.
• Support chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.

Skills

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
• A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards within a kitchen setting.
