Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team in Barnet, London, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans using manual and automatic dishwashing equipment
• Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
• Ensure proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to established procedures
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies
• Perform regular deep cleaning tasks as scheduled
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods and special events
• Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Qualifications

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
