Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Support the culinary team by washing dishes, pots, and pans efficiently to ensure a continuous workflow.
• Help organise and store food supplies properly to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
• Maintain an orderly kitchen environment by disposing of waste appropriately and keeping areas tidy.
• Assist with inventory management by reporting stock levels and helping with deliveries when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• A basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
• A willingness to assist cooks and chefs with various tasks in a fast-paced setting is crucial for success in this role.
