Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, including washing vegetables, peeling, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, cookware, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
• Support the storage and organization of ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Clear and clean dishes, glasses, and cutlery promptly during service periods
• Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
• Help with general cleaning duties in kitchen areas, including floors, sinks, and storage spaces
• Support the team during busy service times by providing reliable assistance wherever needed

Skills

• Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
• Basic knowledge of culinary practices or previous hotel or restaurant experience is advantageous
